I have a lot of frames that I don’t like the style of anymore but just can’t get rid of. So I am always looking for new ways to repurpose them. When I stumbled upon this post from Creative Carmella I was delighted. She used a toilet paper roll as a stamp for painting/stamping a canvas, which she put a photo on. What an awesome idea! I had paint, toilet paper rolls, but no canvas…hm… but then I remembered all my old frames. Ah ha! I could do something with this tutorial.
Unfortunately I don’t think my results turned out as great as hers but I’ll let you be the judge.
What you need:
· Toilet Paper Roll
First, I took one of my old frames and gave it a new paint job.
I chose the color I wanted my stamped design in and dipped the edge of the toilet paper roll into it. Then, I stamped my frame.
I tried to be artistic and change the shape of my toilet paper roll into something fun but it didn’t come out so well. : /
I continued stamping in a sort of pattern, till I thought it was done.
And there you have it. Done. This is a really, really simple project.
So tell me what you think of my stamped frame... hit or miss?
