Burlap & Ornament Wreath

For this year's Christmas wreath I initially had an idea using pearls, but Chris challenged me to use what I already had to make a wreath. I am proud to say that this wreath was made with out me having to buy a thing! (Of course I bought all of the stuff for something else at some point, but I was still proud.)

What you need:

  • Wreath form (mine is the same styrofoam I repurposed from this wreath)
  • Burlap
  • Ribbon
  • Ornaments
  • String
  • Hot glue gun
  • Needle & thread (optional)

  • First I wrapped the styrofoam wreath with burlap, securing with hot glue. I had this awesome burlap ribbon that I scored from Pick Your Plum!

Next I strung ornaments together and tied them to the wreath.

To help the ornaments stay in place, I hot glued them together.

At this point I felt that my wreath need a little something more. So I wrapped it with a red ribbon and made ribbon embellishments. I made the embellishments by threading thread through one side of the ribbon and pulling gently.

    It turned out like this:

Maybe not my best, but I still like it. It is very festive!
