It is finally December! Which means I can put out my Christmas stuff! Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday. I love the atmosphere that comes with it. I also love that I am able to give back to my parents as my sister and my way of saying thank you to them for all they have done for us.
Last year I wanted to add to my Christmas decor and decided to make some ornament trees. I know these are all over the web but I just loved how they look and they seemed pretty easy to make.
I am warning you the photos for this tutorial are not very good. I took them last year when I started my blog... so bear with me. ; )
What you need:
- Ornaments... lots of ornaments
- Styrofoam cones
- Hot glue gun
I'm sure you've seen this or a very similar tutorial already, so I'll make this brief.
Hot glue ornaments to your tree, starting at the bottom and working your way up.
Use larger ornaments at the bottom and smaller ones at the top. I topped my tree with a larger ornament.
There will be holes in which you can see the styrofoam. To cover these up I cut up small pieces of tinsel and just stuck them in the holes without gluing. The tinsel stays without the glue just fine.
Warning... if you use tinsel you will make a mess!!
Have you made any Christmas decorations this year? If you have please leave a link in the comments, I'd love to check them out!
