Blog Birthday + a Giveaway

Hi all, I'm back! It is very bizarre to think that I was in Florida a week ago. The trip down was pretty crazy... and long! I have family in Columbus, my mom's sister, her husband, and my two cousins. My two cousins are girls and my sister and I were very close to them as kids. Anyway, my uncle and cousins drove down to Cincinnati and picked my father, sister, and I up (my mom and aunt flew to Florida the day before). And we all headed to Florida. It ended up taking about a little over 16 hours! And it turns out my father isn't a very good passenger. I think he has undiagnosed ADD! : )

The trip was sad and happy at the same time.  I was able to catch up with family members I haven't seen in a long time. But the reason for all of us getting together was very sad. She was my last grandparent to pass away. I will miss her and all of my other grandparents very much. The generations have now shifted. My parents are the older generation now and it is strange to think about.

Enough of that, on to something happy. My blog is 1 year old! The birthday was actually at the end of December, but with the holidays I didn't want to celebrate it then. So I've sort of moved the birthday to the beginning of January. I can't believe I have been blogging for a whole year! I have learned a lot and can't wait to see were my blog goes in the future.
