Linen & Hydrangea Wreath

Welp, it's spring now. Unfortunately, the weather here doesn't know that. They are forcasting snow for this weekend. : ( Come on Ohio! Let's get on to the 70 degrees and sunny!

I wanted to have a fun and pretty wreath for spring this year. Last year I made a cute purple & blue wreath, but this year I wanted more neutral colors. I'm loving the look of linen right now and I knew that I wanted to use linen in this wreath. I'm also loving hydrangeas this year and wanted to use those as well. {Also this year I plan on making a garden and might try to grow hydrangeas, but I think they are hard to grow... I'll keep you all posted. : ) }.

This is what I came up with as a spring wreath:

Here is how I made it....

What you need:

  • Wreath form
  • Linen fabric
  • Fake hydrangeas {or whatever flower you'd like}
  • Lace ribbon
  • Hot glue gun
I started with my wreath form... side note... I've recycled this wreath form for a year now! I first used it for my blue & purple wreath I mentioned before. I've also used it for the burlap & ornament and the white ribbon wreaths. I'd say thats pretty good!

Anyway, I cut strips of the linen fabric and wrapped them around my wreath form.

From there I attached my hydrangeas. I bought some fake hydrangeas at Michaels when they were on sale! I always wait for Michaels to have a sale, because they always do. Or I use a coupon.

The hydrangeas were a little big for my wreath. So I broke them apart, which was super easy. The pieces just pulled apart.

I didn't end up using the bigger ring, I saved that for... maybe another project...? I tend to not throw anything away.

I just glued the middle ring and the top onto my wreath. I did this with two flowers. Finally I added some lace ribbon and I was finished!

Love it! It turned out like I had pictured. I love it when that happens!

Perfect for spring! Now the weather just needs to warm up!

What are you making for spring?
