Sewing Mondays - Wide Fabric Headband

To help encourage myself to practice sewing as much as I can, I came up with "Sewing Mondays". This will be a chance for me to show you all the tutorials I have tried, my resulting product, and what I thought of the tutorial {I promise all comments will be nice!}. Maybe I will even become proficient enough to post my own tutorials! {Baby steps first, though.} To start out, I'll post a Sewing Mondays post every other week, but if I really get the sewing fever, maybe I'll post every week!

This week's Sewing Mondays tutorial is the Fabric Headbands from Happy Together:

This little sewing project was super easy and fun. Jessica made a great template that you can use for free! So nice.

There really isn't much to this one. It is very simple and the tutorial by Jessica was very easy to follow.

I did make a few changes, though. Instead of elastic I thought it would be fun to use ribbon that you could tie together instead. I used 12" of ribbon per side. I also made a few with the elastic but without the elastic cover. But sorry, no pictures. I like both types equally well.

Not too bad, if I do say so myself... : ).

I think this would be a fun project for a little girl {or even adult} learning to sew.

Thanks Jessica for this great tutorial! Since I featured you feel free to grab the button below:

If anyone has a tutorial they would like me to try {and maybe feature!} please leave a link in the comments!

  1. This is super cute! I love it!!! swing is not that hard if you are not going to fashion show LOL. I used to sew when I was living in Venezuela. I made a lot of crafty stuff but never thought of this!

    Great share!
