Simple Striped Painting




A few months ago I pinned this post onto one of my Pinterest boards:


I just love the look of the paintings Andrea made. I knew that I had to try to make something like it! Here is what I did:

What you need:
  • Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Canvas


There really is not too much to this project. I knew I wanted stripes but I wanted them with jagged unfinished sides, similar to what Andrea had created.

To create that look, I panted my stripes from side to side instead of up and down.


I also made the stripes a little uneven and with different widths.


See, looks good, right? : )

Thats all there was to it.


It turned out exactly as I wanted it to!

  7. good for you, and I love the colors. I did something similar for over my tv and to incorporate the colors in my living room. it's yet to be blogged about, but this is a good reminder, lol.
