"FALL" Pumpkins

Happy Monday everyone! I finally decorated for fall this weekend! This year I really wanted to do neutral decor, with pops of red/orange color. First I wanted four white pumpkins with the letters "FALL" on them. It took me forever to find cheap, fake pumpkins the size I wanted, but I finally found some at Wal-Mart. It is truly my random go-to store. Once I had my pumpkins, here is what I did to make my vision come true:

What you need:
  • Fake Pumpkins
  • White Paint
  • Paint Brush
  • Jute
  • Hot Glue Gun
  • Glue
  • Wax Paper
  • Printed Letters

First I painted the pumpkins white.

Once the pumpkins were dry I wrapped the stems with jute.

To make the letters "FALL" I first made a 1/2 glue and 1/2 water mixture.

Then I printed out the word "FALL" and placed wax paper over the print out. Next I dipped a strand of jute completely into the glue mixture and shaped it into a letter. I did this for all the letters and let them dry overnight. {Some of my strands of jute were long. I cut the excess length of jute off after they were dry.}

After the letters were dry I cut them down and hot glued them onto the pumpkins.

Done. : )

They came out exactly as I envisioned.

I love them! Next Monday I will show you where I put these and the rest of my fall decor. ; )
