Ampersand Art

Hi all! If you saw my Glitter Heart Art then you may remember that I mentioned I wanted to do another piece of art for my on-going gallery wall. Well here is that art! I wanted something very simple, here is what I did:

What you need:
First I used Silhouette Studio to design my image. I made an ampersand in Baskerville Old Face font, then cut my image using my Portrait onto white vinyl.

Next I took transfer paper and put it over the ampersand, attaching the ampersand to the paper.

Then I transfered the ampersand to a piece of gold 12x12 inch paper. I choose to place my ampersand
in the lower left corner, but you could really put it anywhere.

Finally I placed my art into a simple black frame and boom! Done!

I love how simple and beautiful it turned out to be! I can't wait to add it and the Glitter Heart Art to my gallery wall. While working on these to art projects I came up with a couple more things to add to my gallery wall. Hopefully I'll get around to making those additional things soon so I can show you all an updated gallery wall!

  1. I just bought a silhouette. I will have to try this! I just started a blog with my friend Kari. She just completed an ampersand wall and this would fit right in http://www.youme-we.com/blog/the-reveal-ampersand-gallery-wall-coffee-nook-makeover
    Thanks for the amazing inspiration!
