Book Page Bowl {Pinterest Challenge}

This is Week 2 of the Pinterest Challenge! This week I decieded to work on the Book Page Bowl that I pined from Liz Marie Blog:

I pretty much did what she did but instead of wrapping twine around the outside I painted mine. Here is what I did:

What you need:
  • Bowl
  • Paint & Paint Brush
  • Book Pages
  • Mod Podge & Sponge Pouncer or Brush

This bowl is going on our entry way table to hold our keys. The table isn't very big so I got a small, ordinary bowl from the dollar store. I painted the outside of the bowl blue to match the accent decor in my living room/entry.

Next, following Liz Marie Blog's directions, I attached the book pages to the inside of the bowl. I did this by tearing up the book pages into little pieces and adhering them the bowl using mod podge. Once the bowl was covered with the book pages, I added a top layer of mod podge to seal it.

I let the bowl dry for a few hours and then it was done!

It turned out great! And now our keys finally have a home. : )
