Painted Ombre Vases {Pinterest Challenge}

Hi all, welcome to Week 3 of the Pinterest Challenge! This week I decieded to work on the Ombre Vases from Living Well Spending Less:

What you need:
  • Vases
  • Paint {color of choice and white}
  • Paint brush

Next I painted my vase by adding the different shades of paint in lines with the lightest on the top. I originally had white at the top mimicking what Living Well Spend Less did, but I didn't like the look of it. Instead I made a very light turquoise and painted over the white.

And that is it. Seriously! This pin has so far been the easiest and quickest one to do.

I love how these vases turned out! Not only will they look good with flowers in them but also look great alone. : )

  2. Did you use glass paint or just acrylic? Did you have to put anything over the glass afterwards to prevent chipping? I'd love to try this, the color is gorgeous! I'm glad I found your post through the Make Bake Create Wednesday link party.

    1. Hi Anne. I'm so glad you like them! I just used acrylic paint. I didn't put anything over the paint and I have chipped one of them so I would recommend putting something over the paint. If you try this I'd love to see pictures. : )
