My DIY Wedding: The Wedding Party

Hi all! Today I am back with "My DIY Wedding" series. I plan on doing lots of DIY project for the wedding, but I'm not going to share any of the tutorials until after the wedding. For the mini series though, I thought I'd share my planning and vision for the wedding.

I've already shared my Venue & Layout, Design & Style {Part 1}, and Design & Style {Part 2}.

Today I'm going finish up the mini series by to talking more about the look of the wedding party.

The wedding party will consist of my maid of honor and two bridesmaids with Chris's best man and two groomsmen. We wanted to keep it small and even.

Here is what they are going to look  like; first the boys:

Since it is a backyard wedding in June I thought they would look out of place in tuxs not to mention be very hot! Instead they are going to look similar to these men:

Simple white shirts with sleeves rolled up and khaki or light brown pants with suspenders. I also want them to have a green tie, whether it be a normal tie or bow tie it's up to Chris. I'm also not picky on the shoes, white or brown or whatever, as long as they match. Chris will also have a vest that matches his pants. They are going to look so good!

Now the girls:

I'm going with the varied look, so champagneish dresses in various shades and styles.  I just want them to find a dress that they somewhat like in a color I approve. I'm not too worried about the styles either, just nothing inappropriate or gaudy. My only real requirement is that it is short.  They will look something like these ladies:

For the girls shoes, I wanted them to all be the same since their dresses will be different. And recently I found the perfect pair! Now they just have to come back in season.

Finally I will mention only a few details on my look:

Chris doesn't know what my dress looks like so I'm not going to post it here {not that he reads this blog, but just in case ; )}. But I will give you two little details. One is my hair. I'm not going to say the style, only that I want a head piece like this:

I am also going to wear a veil that I'm going to make.

The last detail I'll share are my shoes. They are the same brand as the bridesmaids just a different color. And I LOVE them! But like I said before they aren't in season yet so I have to keep watching for them.

I hope you have enjoyed my mini series about the details of our DIY wedding. Be sure to follow me on Instagram for more sneak peaks of the wedding planning process. I can't wait to share the photos with you all and the DIYs afterwards.

Have a great day everyone!
